Our Story

Four

generations,

one town.

A family woven into the fabric of Morro Bay since the 1940s — and a dream born across the ocean that finally came home.

Where it all began

The family that
built this town.

Our family's connection to this coastal town began in the late 1940s when our grandparents settled here and became active members of the community.

Our grandfather was a respected local architect whose work helped shape the town's character — including designing well-known buildings like the Great American Fish Company.

Our grandmother was a successful entrepreneur, operating a local stationery store and building lasting relationships within the community. Her dedication was recognized when she was honored as Mrs. Morro Bay in the 1950s.

How it all came together

A son, a mother,
and a dream.

A son and mother shared a dream to build something amazing in their favorite town in California. That dream came true when he married his Morro Bay girl.

Honoring his mother's idea and love for the coast is baked into each cookie. Today, MBCC is a family-owned and operated company — a mom, dad, and three kids — launched in loving memory of the parent who helped inspire the vision.

Growing up, our family spent countless cherished days making memories along the waterfront, gathering and building traditions that now live in every batch we bake.
